Welcome to Waikato Year 6 Class

Waikato have had a super second term in year six! In the classroom we’ve been writing our own versions of our class text, Hugo Cabret alongside revising our learning on place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions.

Outside the classroom though Waikato have been planting up a storm in preparation for the Christmas fair and learning to become barristers at the Royal Courts of Justice!

Here are some of our best bits:

Curtis – “My favourite bit so far has been going to the Royal Courts of Justice because I got to be the judge and decide on the sentence!”

Hyabel – “I love doing the gardening because it’s fun to be outdoors and see the seeds I planted grow.”

Radha – “In English, I loved it when the whole class got the giggles when we were creating our actions for our Talk for Write of ‘The Unforgotten Coat’.”

Keisha and Shakira – “We love our baby stick insects! Their names are: Willow, Professor O, Jeff and Ronaldo! At first we were a bit nervous holding them but now we’re fine!”
