A Warm Welcome to Orinoco Class!
In Orinoco class, we work hard and focus so that we can develop in our learning. We try our best to be patient, friendly and nice to each other and to embody our school values of respect, trust, forgiveness, friendship and perseverance.
In the autumn term, we enjoyed our class books ‘Zoo’ by Anthony Browne, ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’ by Phillip Pullman, and our Teaching of Reading text ‘Charlotte’s Web’. Our topics have been Volcanoes and Ancient China, and next term we are looking forward to learning all about the Anglo-Saxons and rehearsing for the Easter production.
We hope you enjoy learning more about what we get up to this year.
On Tuesday 3rd of October, Orinoco Class travelled to London Zoo. After a long coach journey we finally arrived and were very excited to see monkeys. They were so cool, especially the one that was swinging gracefully through the trees. We also saw playful penguins, and tigers who were nearly all sleeping.
In our workshop we learned that many of these animals are endangered and how we could help them. The guide also let us touch a tiger skin and a real live snake. It was an exciting day!
